Sunny So Cal or Bolt Territory...
It was a sunny day North of the Border, and the smell of tailgating was wafting in the crisp morning air. The team piled out onto the blacktop and assembled their battlefield in full force. It was Pat "Big Grin" Murphy that made the first move. The sweet smell of sizzling pork on the grill and the end goal in sight, Murf pulled off the first series with nothing less than a record breaking cast iron dutch oven full of "life changing" baked beans...
When Dan "Dog Nut" Ainsworth came out firing, he left his mark across the lot. Dan truly is, along with the inspiration of Jake, one of the greats. Thanks for all the hospitality in G3 - the true tailgate spot in Bolts Territory.
We were out in full force and had a couple different menus going. For San Diego, IJay made his Cumin-Lime rubbed Flat Iron steaks and Southwest Grilled Avocados. And, we paired Pat's beans with some KC style BBQ ribs and Pat made the perfect corn bread with brown sugar and honey glazed over the top.
We had a few friends stop by and hang with us at our gate. "A hearty thanks for the good times" goes out to: Jeff Spenard and his fiance, Chef Brian Malarkey, Kevin Roberts and Dan Fleyshman and his gang.
But the big thanks goes out to Karen and Angel for giving Pat and I the continued support to get out there and tailgate with everyone from across the country. Big Kisses!!!
Final call: Shine...
