Hoggin' in Oakland...
Kirk and I started at 2 am to travel over to the stadium. We had something special in mind for the last game of the regular season. Since the Raiders were not going to the playoffs, Kirk decided to give his regular tailgate crew and guests something to remember during the off season - A WHOLE PIG!
As you can see, we started that 80 lb hog well before the butt-crack-of-dawn. Kirk lived up to his nickname Kingsford Kirk by keeping the coals nice a glowing. The pig is in he box underneath and cooks for about 6 hours - turning once!
Luc, the youngest blacktop chef around put on a show making some awesome ahi tuna sushi rolled in seaweed rice. Oh my gosh...Yum!
The Colliseum...

Karen just loved the beautiful day in Oakland. Sitting here in the Newmar Allstar's kitchen, you can see the blue skies behind the Blacktop Babe!
Photo of the Week!

Kingsford brands all their coals with a "K." I thought this was a great picture featuring Kirk's initials - oh yeah and Kingsford Charcoal as well...
